Head office, Kent: Community support volunteer

We are looking for a community support volunteer at our head office.

What is this role?

Working as part of a team under guidance of BWBF, you will be contacting our recipients via telephone.

The purpose of these calls will be to verify the recipients' personal details and finding any issues they may have with their equipment.

What does the role involve?

  • From a supplied list of recipients you will make contact by phone, introduce yourself and BWBF and checktheir personal details
  • Take note of any issues they have with their sets and pass this onto the relevant person to follow up
  • Update records on our database

How much time will I need to commit?

The position is based at our head office in Maidstone, Kent.

How much time will I need to commit?

We are looking for someone to provide four hours on one or two days every week, between 9am and 5pm Tuesday to Friday.

What kind of person are you looking for?

  • People with basic IT knowledge
  • Must be confident with a warm telephone manner
  • You will need to be patient, with good communication skills
  • Someone with the ability to sympathetically deal with vulnerable people and provide confidentiality to all recipients
