Our volunteers support us across the charity - from working behind the scenes with us at head office to being out on the front line delivering sets to recipients.

We are currently recruiting for the following volunteer roles:

Radio Supporters

(Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow ,Edinburgh, Southampton, Walsall, Bath & North East Somerset, Herefordshire, Sefton, Liverpool and Sheffield)

What is this role?   This role involves contacting people who are on our database and asking them a number of questions to make sure that they are using their radio successfully.

Where is it based?  This position is based from your home and will include regular online and telephone support with the manager.

How much time will I need to commit?  It’s up to you but we’d ideally like you to commit to around 2-4 hours per week.

What kind of person are we looking for?  Someone who is experienced with using Word, Excel and the Internet.  You will need to have access to a computer, broadband and a printer.

Admin volunteers - Nationwide

What is this role?  This role involves supporting our Regional Manager with various admin and research tasks.

 Where is it based?  This position is based from your home and will include regular online and telephone support with the manager.

 How much time will I need to commit?  It’s up to you but we’d ideally like you to commit to around 4-6 hours per week.

 What kind of person are we looking for?  Someone who is experienced with using Word, Excel and the Internet.  You will need to have access to a computer, broadband and a printer

Exhibitions Volunteer - Nationwide

What is this role?  This role involves attending exhibitions across the Midlands and/or The North of England.  The exhibitions will involve talking to members of the public about our equipment, demonstrating our equipment, answering questions and providing information about our services.

Where is it based?  This position is based from your home and across the selected region.  This role involves regular travel, sometimes including overnight hotel stays.

How much time will I need to commit?  We would like you to commit to attending 4-6 exhibitions per year.

What kind of person are we looking for?  Someone computer literate, reliable, outgoing, confident and able to convey information effectively.
