Volunteering with British Wireless for the Blind

British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) would not be able to continue to help people with sight loss if it wasn’t for the fantastic support of our army of volunteers.

Our charity is lucky to be helped by 45 people who commit their time to us for free and make a real difference to those who use our services.

Not only does volunteering help support BWBF but could help you as well.

It could be a route to employment, a chance to try something new or a way to give.

We are always looking for volunteers, and even if you can’t give up much time you may still be able to help us.

Whatever your reasons are for wanting to volunteer, we would be glad to have you on board.

Volunteering allows you to:

  • Gain new skills, knowledge and experience
  • Develop your existing skills, knowledge and experience
  • Meet new people and make new friends
  • Enhance your CV
  • Improve your employment prospects
  • Help benefit people with sight loss
  • Socialise
  • Get to know the local community
