For our part, we’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to Stephen and also to Joanna Alldridge and all the staff at Asda Wakefield for all their help in making this such a successful fundraising event on our behalf.
ASDA worker pushes hard
Stephen Harrison

Asda porter, Stephen Harrison laced up his walking boots, filled up his trolley and headed out on the open road for a 70 mile Wakefield to Scarborough hike to help raise money for the British Wireless for the Blind Fund.

35-year-old Stephen, who has a diabetes-related sight disorder, was being sponsored by his Asda colleagues for the two-day trip – which took a little longer due to harsh weather conditions that reluctantly forced Stephen to postpone the second leg and then complete it some weeks later.

“The British Wireless for the Blind Fund does a wonderful job and I want to do everything I can to help,” said Stephen. “Everyone at Asda is being so brilliant in supporting me. I can’t thank them enough.”
