Team building can help us too
EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISING

All those team building days can feel so much more worthwhile if a good cause is benefiting from the activities. Working together to raise funds for BWBF is a great way to encourage team spirit in any organisation. If your company already organises any events, please tell them about the Fund. There’s all manner of ideas you could use on our 'Fundraising Ideas' page.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

If your company is prepared to offer sponsorship for activities we undertake, we would love to hear about them. They might, for example, like to fund the cost of one of our workshops where we go out and meet our recipients to discuss the radios we provide. They might like to fund the cost of one of our publications or help us with advertising. Other opportunities include sponsorship of direct marketing and fundraising activities. To find out how your company could work with us, please contact us.

MATCHED GIVING

You may find your lucky enough to have an employer who matches donations. Sometimes it will be on a like for like basis, sometimes it will be a percentage of the amount you give and sometimes it will be capped at a certain limit. If you're doing fundraising for us, it's worth asking your company if they'll match what you raise.

COMPANY DONATIONS

Many companies give money to charities but, increasingly they rely on the suggestion coming from a member of staff. Some go further and have staff charity committee to decide where the money goes. If your company has a scheme like this, please put our name forward.

Once your donation is set up, you don't have to do any more. Each week or month, as regular as clockwork, the Fund will benefit. Ask your employer if the organisation is registered with any of the payroll giving agencies, such as Give As You Earn or visit the Inland Revenue website for further information.
Payroll Giving
PAYROLL GIVING
You can donate to BWBF directly from your wages through payroll giving; When you donate money to a cause in the normal way you are giving out of your taxed income. When you choose Payroll Giving your donation is taken from your pay before tax is deducted. It might sound complicated, but in fact it’s extremely simple to use. The donation is made before you pay tax, so we receive more. For example, if you donated £5 a month, we would receive £6.41. If you donated £50 a month, we would receive £64.10.
