A lifeline at your fingertips
Dave Cole followed his father, uncle and brother into the armed forces and saw a bright future ahead until a random flare robbed him of his sight, an army career and many of life's pleasures. But with characteristic courage, the father of two daughters has fought back. He thanks British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) for the “invaluable lifeline” of a radio that has rekindled his joy in sport and music.
BWBF RECEIVES BIG LOTTERY FUNDING
Following the award of a grant from Big Lottery Awards for All, the British Wireless for the Blind Fund is undertaking a project using technology to help reduce the social Isolation of Visually Impaired people.

Transmission 2013 Winners
The Central Radio Amateur Circle, based in the West Midlands, has won both trophies for the annual Transmission event, in which amateur radio Clubs compete to make the greatest number of contacts and raise the greatest amount of money.
