Tonbridge Canoe Club raise money for BWBF

Tonbridge canoe club held a paddle down the Medway from Tonbridge to Wateringbury on Saturday 17th July, followed by a supper to raise funds for Club equipment and for the work of BWBF. 17 canoeists had a glorious paddle between wooded banks and water meadows, through 8 locks, in the sunshine, to the marina at Wateringbury where they disembarked. A supper of sausage and cider casserole awaited the canoeists in a cottage garden in Wateringbury. All agreed that they had had a wonderful day and looked forward to the event being repeated.
